Kapnikos Stathmos Katerini is easily accessible from abroad, with Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) being the closest and most convenient entry point. While travel from Athens is also possible, Thessaloniki is much closer to Katerini and strongly recommended for international visitors.

From Thessaloniki Airport (SKG)

The journey from the airport to Katerini is straightforward using public transportation:

1. Airport to KTEL Macedonia Bus Station
   Directly outside the arrivals area of Thessaloniki Airport, you will find the stop for the X1 airport bus. The bus departs approximately every 30 minutes and tickets can be purchased on the bus or at the counter for around €2.
   Take the bus to its final stop, the intercity bus terminal KTEL Macedonia, easily recognizable by its large dome-shaped building.
2. KTEL Macedonia to Katerini
   Inside KTEL Macedonia, go to the Pieria counter, located to the right after entering the terminal. There, you can buy a ticket to Katerini for €6.80.
   Buses to Katerini depart regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 40–50 minutes.
3. Arrival in Katerini
   The bus arrives at the KTEL bus station in Katerini. Upon arrival, a member of the Kapnikos Stathmos team will be waiting to welcome you and walk the short distance to the facility together.
